Us "Lab Techs" are going to screw it onto a model and make the crown as well.

We get our grubby little fingers all over that thing! lol

    Come on!

There is no such FDA wording that says nobody can touch a custom abutment.

We HAVE to touch it as a matter of fact.

It gets cleaned at end of the line.

But, people put all sorts of dirty things into their mouth all day long including fingers.

It is a VERY unsanitary environment to say the least.

it's not the touching/cleaning issues I am concerned with at all. Steam autoclaves and Gamma kill all :)
it's dealing with statistical proof of control of product to prevent lot mixing-
again the big grain of salt here---LOTS of folks do it batch style with fantastic success and have zero issues
Just for paperwork and process validation purposes, I am all for taking the easier route and knocking a few items off the failure mode risk analysis as required in the GMP's and 13485 and all the other crap that comes with it. I like making stuff, I do not personally enjoy validation paperwork. just my .002-

No Dental Labs use Gamma to sterilize. That is totally not necessary and I wish to stop that type of talk in here or the next thing you know we all need to hire facility to start doing this for no reason at all....just because some douche reads your posts.

Again, you are probably thinking about OEM manufactures of the actual Implant that goes into the bone.

Not the abutment that goes on top.

The Abutment needs a top (crown)....Dental Lab Techs need to touch it. A lot!
Not necessary at all to have any paperwork about sterilization after manufacturing the abutment. Of course it is going to just get dirty again before headed out to a Doctor.
After that manufacturing process of the Crown top, then you can sterilize.
This is not needed by the Abutment manufacture IMO.
Why on Earth do you think we would need that??

We are not done playing with it yet.

That's why doctor offices have autoclaves, no??

Yeah, All Docs have insurance to cover them, and it is their responsibility to do this.

Even they are not subject to GMP and FDA blah blah...and paperwork regarding this.

same in orthopedics the Docs handle all the autoclave- only need a simple ultrasound clean mainly to make the parts look cool (anodize looks nice when it's clean)- unless it's sterile pack item, and that is another can O worms

I think I am selling this DMG to Core3d.
They are to visit me soon.
I think it will go to Canada location?

I will service some of their 3d printers, and few other things...
I am going mental trying to get parts and service for this DMG from Germany.
They have 10 or more of these in Canada, Las Vegas, and Europe and already know all the correct people at DMG to order stuff from.

My local DMG reseller has never seen a DMG ultrasonic Dental before and I feel like I am wasting my time trying to get help.

    Bummer.

Back to HAAS I go! Probably for the better I think?

The kitchen has become both the focal point and showplace of the home. With the kitchen not being utilized only for cooking any longer, yet additionally now and then for eating and engaging visitors, the kitchen must be sufficiently enormous and appropriately structured with the suitable cooking appliances.
