    Hi guys,

I am sorry if this has been asked a thousand times but my search skills arent great. I am looking at getting a mill for the office (dental) and have been doing my research but I have a bunch of questions. I kinda have it narrowed downt to a Roland wxd-52d, here are my questions:

    1) This seems to be a good workhorse and people have great things to say about it. It seems to fall in line pricewise with a VHF unit. Should I consider the VHF for any reason?

    2) Can you direct me as to where I could get the best price on this unit? If this violates any forum rules then perhaps you can private message me

    3) I would be doing roughly 40-60 units a month and also do some screw retained crowns. Don't plan on doing any emax or custom abutments so I am thinkning dry mill should be fine

    4) Should I consider a used unit? Are they easy to find and do you really save that much going used? This is a big one for me as we all know technology drops in value tremendously. I would prefer to finance the unit (dont want to lease, would rather end up owning something at the end) but can pay it if I have to. Can used units be financed?

    5) Gonna need a sintering oven (I know there is another forum for this but it pertains to the whole situation so I will mention it here). Same questions as above, new or used? and any particular brands/models you would recommend. Remember I am not a full production lab, This is strictly for my office use.

    6) Any other thoughts or pointers you could give would be great. I am sure there are a million things I havent thought of or overlooked. Just kinda hoping someone with experience can help me through this as they have probably gone through it as well.

Once again sorry if this drives anyone crazy, I appreciate any help you can give.

    Dr. E

ps.one final question that relates to the mill. If I got the Roland and exocad, then am I all set with software? or will I need something like millbox?

What kind of experience do you have milling with a CAM software or designing in CAD software?
