Beta testing color scanner tips.
But....I am not sure I want colors in my cad data.
We are not painting, but rather designing shape.
Colors don't help me any. I find distracting.
Grey-scale texture scanning is where I draw the line.
I don't care about color either, more ram resources used.
I prefer grey scale as well, but some people are fascinated with small shiny colored objects. Lol
On import into exocad you have the option if you want color or not.
Very nice - for businessmen.
Would like to see how it works on real Situation in mouth, not only a stupid demo modell
It works great in the mouth. I do all of my single and multiple single implant abutments and emax crowns from PlanScan files. No models.
I'll get one of my docs to video it in action intra orally and post here for comparison.
For what are the 3 scan heads ??
They are different sizes. Smaller for patients with limited opening or children.
The Landscape head is wider field of view in buccal-lingual direction.
Portrait/pedio head has smaller view, but IMO captures the data better.
The larger head is the original size.
Basically it gives the operator options for the head
that works best with their scanning technique or patient situation.
Just more options like you would expect with open technology systems.
A real life video would be great!
Is the scanning speed intraorally as fast as it was on the example model? That looked almost as fast as the Trios3
If not exactly it is pretty close, but models always scan easier.
I will get a video posted.
